Mr. Tom Montgomery, age 79, who resided at 407 Brookwood Drive in Thomaston, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia. The family may be contacted at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21 at 1 p.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Southview cemetery. Pastor Eddie Johnson Sr. will be the Eulogist and Elder Claude Franklin will preside.

Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife, Clara Lou Walker Montgomery of Thomaston, 7 children: Jeffery Walker, Phyliss Montgomery and Marcus Montgomery, all of Thomaston; Cheryl Lisa Matthews (Tony) and Tim Montgomery (Regina) of the Salem Community; Elder Charlotte Franklin (Rev. Claude Franklin) of Griffin, GA; five grandchildren and six great-grand children; sister and brother: Carstella Montgomery of Boston, Mass.; Jake Montgomery (Bobbie) of Monroe, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jerry Walker (Joann), Evelyn Zorn (Charlie) and Robert Elliott Walker (Shirley), all of Thomaston; Juanita Walker of Trenton, NJ; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
