Mrs. Annette McCranie Sams, age 73, of Molena, Ga., died October 25, 2012, at her sister’s residence.

Mrs. Sams was born on January 31, 1939 in Dodge County, Ga., to the late W. Purett McCranie and Susie McCranie. She was employed for many years at B. F. Goodrich in the Tire Cord Division. She also worked at Upson Lee South Elementary in the lunchroom. Mrs. Sams was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Sams.

Survivors include her sons, Mr. Kenneth Sams of Thomaston and Mr. Greg Sams of Molena, Ga.; brother, Mr. Will “Billy” McCranie of Columbus, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Martha Dover of Thomaston, Ga.; two grandchildren, Bennet Sams and Camdyn Sams.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sams will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crystal Hill Cemetary. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2012, from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Thomaston Hospice or the Thomaston Cancer Car c/o Mr. Robert Harris at 113 Daisy Lane, Thomaston, GA 30286.
