Mrs. Rosa Lee Rogers Daniel, age 89, of Thomaston, GA, died July 10, 2012, at Brightmoor Hospice Care in Griffin, GA.
Mrs. Daniel was born on October 8, 1922 in Needmore, GA, to the late Milton E. and Ora Lee Rogers. She was employed at the King Edward Cigar factory in Waycross, GA, and Jacksonville, FL; also at Thomaston Mills as a Warper Creeler. Mrs. Daniel was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church; she also attended The Storehouse Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Frank Lee Daniel.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Freida Watkins of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Teresa and Dale Jackson of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Penny and Roger Guinn of Hahira, GA, Mrs. Lena and Ted Howe of Martinsburg, WV; step-daughters, Mrs. Brenda and Dale Majo of Orange Park, FL, Mrs. Frankie and Steve Nutt of Hendersonville, TN, Mrs. Vickie Harris of LaGrange, GA; son, Mr. Freddie and Debbie Manning of Columbus, GA; step-sons, Mr. Wesley and Lou Daniel of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Bill Daniel of Deaver, WY, Mr. Pete Daniel of Statham, GA; brothers, Mr. Herbert Rogers of Brunswick, GA, Mr. Charles Rogers of Columbus, GA; sisters, Mrs. Verdie Mae Rowell of Hortense, GA, Mrs. Virginia Peeples of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, Terry Watkins, Kim Watkins, Lanell Golden, Tammy Evanchik, Joseph Manning, Tracy Johnson, Robert Murray, Timothy Murray, Alisha Knight, Joe Henderson, Vickie Henderson, Michelle Dickerson, Alex Howe, Vincent Howe; 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. from The Storehouse Church. Burial will follow in Raulerson Cemetery in Patterson, GA, at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.
