THOMASTON — Mrs. Frances Jane Sanford Duncan, age 80, of Thomaston, Ga., died March 15, 2013 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Mrs. Duncan was born on September 23, 1932 in Thomaston, Ga., to the late James and Elsie Sanford. She was employed with Sears, where she worked for 20 years, and later worked for Noells Dress Shop in sales. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Thomaston First Baptist Church, where she served as president in her Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Teresa (Nathan) Sandefur of Mooresville, N.C.; son, Mr. Charles “Matt” (Samantha) Duncan of Thomaston, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Martha (Doug) Walker of Augusta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. from Thomaston First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Southview Cemetery.
