Did you ever write down all the things that go through your mind in the period of a day? Nah, I know you haven’t and neither have I, until now! Well, this isn’t a whole day and I have included only sports related thoughts, but you’ll get the idea.

I’m not sure the Falcons can beat the 49’ers on Sunday. I don’t know if they can stop that quarterback Kaepernick. He’s pretty good! Boy things will get pretty wild if the Falcons can get to the Super Bowl. I remember the last time they were there. They were terrible. Oh well, we’ll know by Sunday night.

What percentage of the people who call in to the Paul Finebaum sports radio show are idiots? I’d say its pretty high. Every time I tune in there are a bunchof goofy folks calling in and they fit Finebaum just right. It gets embarrassing sometimes. I don’t listen much. Would rather listen to Mad Dog Russo.

The Hawks scored 58 points in an NBA game. High school teams score that much. University of Georgia basketball is awful! Tech is not as bad as Georgia but they’re not great either. Sad situation for our state.

I’m tired of hearing how great Nick Saban is. Gosh, you’d think he was a God or something.

The Baseball Hall of Fame didn’t elect anyone for induction this year. I hate that cause I always look forward to induction day. I am glad that they left all of those steroid cheaters out. I hope that they never get in, especially Bonds!

Had a good time talking with Ronnie Paul. It’s alwasy interesting to talk with Ronnie, who is one of my favorite football Rebels of all time. The guy could really run with a football.

Chris Daniel wants to make jokes about my Auburn flag which is rolled up on my front porch. I just put it there while I was out of town so that no admirer would take it. He’s a Georgia fan. He doesn’t know any better.

This football recruiting is really heating up. Auburn has lost a few recruits because of the coaching change. Those things are going to happen but we need to get things fired up. I’m thinking that Malzahn and his staff will right the ship in the next month.

Watching Vandy and Ole Miss. What a game. Two three-pointers in the last four seconds. Tied going to overtime. Man they really fancy up these college courts. Huge logos at half court, different shades of wood, writing on the sides, and so much more. Don’t know how much I like it, although it’s really colorful. Love Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gym. Teams sitting on the end of the court just like we did when the Holstun Gym was opened. Boy, Vandy’s white, black, and gold uniforms look good!

Back to the Falcons. I really like Tony Gonzalez. Quality guy! Always gives top effort. I wish he would back for next year. I like Matt Ryan also. Smart and cool! Doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Falcons need help on defense but they will draft late this year.

Atlanta teams don’t get any respect on the national level. Braves, Falcons, Hawks. None of those snobby ESPN sportscasters will give any credit to Atlanta teams. Makes it so much more satisfying when we win!

I gotta think about ordering my Braves’ spring training tickets. Looking forward to my annual pilgrimmage to Lake Buena Vista. My man Carl Brown tells me that the Braves are gonna be good again this year. I’m all for it.
