ULHS teacher Katie Ayers and Principal Tracy Caldwell pose for a photo with a memorial plaque in remembrance of Coach Carl Flowers. Upson-Lee faced off with Mary Persons Saturday night and the basketball game was a “Red Out,” with fans, players, and coaches wearing their Rock the Beat shirts sponsored by the American Heart Association. Ayers organized the event in memory of Coach Flowers, who passed away unexpectedly last month. The plaque will hang in the ULHS gymnasium.
