Trailing 21-0 to start the fourth quarter, the Upson-Lee Knights fought their way back to a seven point deficit 21-14. However, the No. 9 state ranked Bears from Griffin scored with just over a minute remaining in the game, earning the sub-region 4B No. 1 seed. The Knights must now wait to find out if Spalding defeated North Clayton tonight, which would keep the Knights playoff hopes alive. Above, looking like a goal line dive at the 50-yard line, the Bears’ QB tried to fly over the pile on 4th and 1 early in the game. The Knights gathered in mass to shoot him down and took the ball over.=. Look in Tuesday’s edition of The Times for a full game recap, and other scores from Region 4 and across the area.
