Mrs. Dona Belle Lifsey, age 80, of Barnesville passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility.

A native of Rock Mills, Al., she was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Leo Colquitt and the late Mrs. Mittie Irene Knight Colquitt, and was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lester Gerdine Lifsey, Jr., by a daughter, Leslie Lifsey Sperry, by a brother, Henry Colquitt, and by a sister, Sue Colquitt Oertley. Mrs. Lifsey was retired as a Payroll Clerk from The William Carter Company and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include: two daughters - Lanie Lifsey Long (& Charles Randy) of Barnesville and Elisha Lifsey Dix (& Tim) of Barnesville ; one son - Leonard Britt Lifsey (& Ginger Turner) of Barnesville ; one step-son - Lester Joseph Lifsey of Phoenix City, Al. ; one son-in-law - Terry Sperry of Augusta ; one sister - Linda Colquitt Kuder ; eight grandchildren ; & nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dona Belle Lifsey will be conducted Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6- 8 p.m.
