To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to express condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of former Upson County Assistant District Attorney James Edward “Jim” Sherrill of Peachtree City on his recent passing.

During his 30-year career in the legal profession, Mr. Sherrill served with distinction as a prosecutor of criminal cases as well as in private practice. He retired from the District Attorney’s office 10 years ago.

All Georgia lawyers and judges can be inspired by our colleague’s lifetime of service and career-long efforts to promote the cause of justice, uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Sincerely,

Robin Frazer Clark, president

State Bar of Georgia
