Mr. Paul Lewis Maddox, age 61, of Thomaston, GA, died August 24, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Maddox was born on November 23, 1950 in Thomaston, GA, to the late Winston and Rose Maddox. He was a self-employed carpenter and later worked at Providence Nursing Center in the Maintenance Department. Mr. Maddox was a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended Hendricks Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Penny Maddox of Thomaston, GA; daughter, Mrs. Christy and Mike Gasman of Thomaston, GA; son, Mr. Charles and Betty Maddox of Thomaston, GA; brother, Mr. Wilson “Junior” and Kathy Maddox of Yatesville, GA; grandchildren, Maggie Maddox, Ashley Gasman, Kailee Chapman, Jillian Gasman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. from Hendricks Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 4-6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the cancer group “SUPPORT” at 108 East Gordon Street, Thomaston, GA 30286.
