Mrs. Johnnie Mae Hobbs, age 89, of Yatesville, died Saturday, July 28,2012 in Providence Health and Rehab.

A memorial service will be held, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Yatesville United Methodist Church, at 11 a.m.; burial will follow in the Yatesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Arianna Eberle will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, at the church, from 10 until 11 a.m., prior to the service.

Mrs Hobbs was a native of Early County, GA and had lived in Yatesville for several years. She was the daughter of the late John Richard Prince and the late Ethel Pierson Prince. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a manager with Bell Telephone Company and with AT&T. She was a member of Yatesville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Hobbs was predeceased by her husband, James Benjamin Hobbs.

She is survived by a niece, Cheryl Cannington, Iron City, GA: four nephews, Thomas Barksdale, Woodstock, GA; James Barksdale, Orlando, FL; Edward Pumphrey, Donaldsonville, GA; Mike Leslie Pumphrey, Donaldsonville, GA; and a sister-in-law, Frances Prince, Damascus, GA.
