Mrs. Lula Bell Powell Dennis, age 67, who resided at 931 Prater Street in Thomaston, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Upson Regional Medical Center. The family may be contacted at 1856 Gilbert Street in the Lincoln Park community.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. from New Hope Baptist Church of Talbotton, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Horace Monfort will be the Eulogist.

Mrs. Dennis is survived by two children: Rita Powell of Rockville, MD and Eric Smith of Jonesboro, GA; a life companion for 30 years, Stanley Garmon of Thomaston, GA; sisters and brothers: Vonnie Warren of Fort Valley, GA, Walter (Letha) Powell, Irene (Calvin) Clark, Catherine Graddy and Jesse (Alma) Powell, all of Atlanta, GA, Jeanette (Kenneth) Holmes and Willie Powell, all of Thomaston, GA, Dorothy (Jessie) Carter of Fairburn, GA; an aunt, Alberta Short of Atlanta, GA; two great nieces: Destiny Smith and Alaina Worthy, both of Thomaston; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
