Edward Leslie Price, Sergeant, 814th Military Police Company, WWII, age 92, of Barnesville, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2012 at his daughter’s home.

He was a professional photographer and served in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix it and build it. He delighted in having family around him and they loved his gentle and sweet spirit. He was strong and brave and resilient… that was our Dad and Paw-Paw.

Survivors include his wife, Vernie L. Price; three daughters, Teresa (& Bill) Price-Bates of Barnesville, Dona (& Paul) Coleman of Barnesville, and Theda Marie (& Tariq) Khan of Marietta; three sons, Les (& Cindy) Price, Jr. of Meansville, Spencer (& Erin) Price of Yatesville, and Phillip (& Pam) Price of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Edward L. Price will be conducted on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment will be on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Sunday, June 24, 2012m, from 2 p.m. until the service hour.
