Laura Alaine Best, age 38, of 226 Bradshaw Road, died May 30, 2012 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Laura was a graduate of Upson High School and attended Gordon College. She earned her real estate license, and was a local realtor for many years. She presently worked at the Waffle Houe in Thomaston. Laura was a lover of life and everyone and everything in it. She shared her love and enthusiasm for life with everyone she knew and met. Laura was the first girl to play football in Upson County, playing for the Crimson Tide alongside her brother in the early 1980’s.

Laura is survived by her companion, Brandi Wood; and sons, Dathan Wood and Jacob Murray; parents, Ralph and LInda Best; brother, Brad Best, and niece Chelsee Best.

Funeral Services wil be held Saturday, June 2,2012 at 4 p.m. in The Rock United Methodist Church. Rev. Arianna Eberle will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. She will b e laid to rest next to her beloved “Little Mama” and Papa. Laura was an organ donor and Life Link has notified family that four recipients will have a new life as a result. Contributions can be made to The Rock United Methodist Church, POB 54, The Rock, Georgia 30285.

My heart goes out to Mr and Mrs Best, Laura was always so full of life... I remember her laughter the most.....

Laura was a great person and will be greatly missed by many.

Laura was great friend. We both struggled with life but she always had a great outlook

on life.
