Commencement for the Upson-Lee High School Class of 2012 will be Friday, May 25, at Matthews Field. Commencement is a very special occasion, and because of this, Upson-Lee High School and the senior class of 2012 have specific expectations for the behavior of guests invited to this private ceremony. The faculty processional will begin promptly at 7:55 p.m. Please find your seats before this time. Please refrain from activities or behavior that might compromise the dignity of the event or might prevent others from hearing and/or viewing the ceremony. Courtesy toward the graduates and adherence to the Acceptable Behavior Guidelines are expected of all guests at all times. Failure to cooperate may result in your exclusion from the ceremony.

As an invited guest to this private ceremony, the Upson-Lee High School Class of 2012 requests that you adhere to the following guidelines for acceptable behavior:

• No noisemakers allowed.
• No yelling or verbal outbursts during the ceremony.
• No balloons.
• Turn off all cell phones.
• During the presentation of diplomas, please do not applaud when a name is called. Family members may stand silently when your child’s name is called; there will be a time for applause after all diplomas have been presented.
• No unauthorized personnel will be allowed on the field or track during the ceremony.
• No tripods please; still cameras and videos cameras should be held in your seats. Professional photos will be available to all graduates at a later date.
• Children should be supervised at all times.
• There will be a time for celebration upon completion of the commencement ceremony.
• The ceremony will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. Please find your seat prior to this time and remain seated throughout the entire ceremony.
• Guests are not allowed to hold or reserve seats for others.
• Please take notice of the disorderly conduct signs at the field. Law enforcement has the authority to issue citations to anyone violating the disorderly conduct ordinance #62-10. Please refrain from any disruptive actions.
