Lee State Champs To Be Honored

The R.E. Lee Rebels’ 1988 AA State Championship football team will be honored at Matthews Field on Oct. 3. The Ceremony will take place during the Upson-Lee/Hardaway football game. Many team members and coaches from the 15-0 squad are expected to be in attendance on the 20th anniversary of their significant achievement. The 1988 Lee team is the only football team in Upson County history to win a GHSA state championship.
