Upson-Lee High School hosted “Transition Camp” on Wednesday at their campus located on Knight Trail. Parents and students gathered in the gym at 9 a.m. for introductory speeches given by Principal Cleve Hendrix and others. The purpose of the camp was to ensure up and coming ninth graders that “high school is one of the most important milestones in one’s life.” as Debbie Thurman said. Orientation will be held at Upson-Lee High School on Wednesday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and all students in the Thomaston-Upson School System will report to their first day of classes on Thursday, Aug. 7.
