Funeral services for Mr. Felton Hobbs, 70, of Highway Street, were held Friday, May 30, 2008, at noon, at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hobbs died Sunday, May 24, 2008, at Christian Ministries Hospice.

Trice Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hobbs was born on March 24, 1938.

Survivors include his devoted friend, Ms. Amy Andrews of Thomaston; daughters, Mrs. Anna (Stanley) Walker, Ms. Lisa (Fredick) Ashe, and Ms. Carla Hobbs Grisson, all of Thomaston; a step-son, Mr. Charles (Rebecca) Durham of Thomaston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ms. Essie Mae Hobbs, Mrs. Mary Joyce (Dennis) Copeland and Mrs. Charlene (Robert) Thompson, all of Thomaston, Mrs. Gloria Jean Willis of Manchester, Mrs. Shirley (Cleveland) Smith of Newark, N.J., and Mrs. Janice (Rev. Fred) Blackmon of Concord.
