After hearing of rain, the city postponed the third annual yard sale that was scheduled to be on the square on Saturday, April 5.

“There were supposed to be bad thunderstorms, and we’re scared that most people would stay home ,so we postponed the yard sale to April 19,” said Sylvia Chapman, Downtown Manager.

Chapman also said rain or shine, the yard sale will definintely be on April 19.

The annual city yard sale is a fund raiser for the Rotary Club’s Phone Home Project, which allows soldiers overseas to talk to their families at home.

If anyone would like to make a cash donation, all proceeds will go to the Phone Home Project.

For more information on the third annual city yard sale, call Gail Hammock at 706-647-4242.
