Each year the John Houston chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors Constitution Day along with the fourth grade PTO to go along with Constitution Week.
On Friday, September 14, the fourth at Upson-Lee North Elementary graders had two performances during the day to go along with the third that they will have on September 18 at 7 p.m. that will be held at Upson-Lee North Elementary School.
Each performance helped celebrate the writing of the Constitution, and taught children and parents alike valuable lessons about our country's history.
“This is an outstanding event for our young folks,” said Mayor Hays Arnold who narrated the morning program. “By interacting, the children grasp the material better.”
The afternoon program was held inside due to rain, and was narrated by Judge Gary Hamby.
