Funeral services for Mr. Frank Virgil Boyt, 85, of Gassett Road, were held Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Coogler officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Church Cemetery.
Mr. Boyt died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boyt was born on Dec. 18, 1921, in Upson County, Ga., to the late Willie Frank and Willie Grace Boyt. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Boyt was a member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church and was also a member of the Woodman of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Boyt of Meansville; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Turner of Forest Park; a brother, Mr. Gordon (Evangeline) Boyt of Thomaston; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church.
