Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Ann Chapman Wegner, 53, of Macon, will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Rex King officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery in Griffin.
Mrs. Wegner died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Macon Northside Hospital.
Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wegner was born on Aug. 12, 1953, in Spalding County, Ga., to the late Carolyn Chapman of Pike County. She was a graduate of Pike County High School and the University of Georgia. Mrs. Wegner was currently a resident of Macon. She was formerly the administrator of Providence Health Care in Thomaston, where she served for 23 years. Mrs. Wegner was a member of First United Methodist Church of Thomaston.
Survivors include her father, Mr. T. W. Chapman of Zebulon; her husband, Mr. Clarke Wegner of Macon; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Chad) Murphy of Thomaston; sons, Mr. Justin (Katie) Connell of Atlanta, and Mr. Tim (Inna) Wegner of Westborough, Mass.; a brother, Mr. Mike (Brenda) Chapman of Kissimmee, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Sue (Joe) Bennett of Watkinsville; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held this evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
