Funeral services for Mrs. Aline Doris Russell Fowler, 80, of Denham Street were held Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at 11 a.m., at The Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chuck Byrom and the Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial followed in Crystal Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Fowler died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fowler was born on Feb. 15, 1927, in Upson County, Ga., to the late John and Winnie Russell. She was formerly employed at the William Carter Company, where she worked as a seamstress for 31 years. Mrs. Fowler was a member of The Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Fowler Jones, and her granddaughter, Mrs. Kelli Deanne Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Grady Fowler of Thomaston; her son, Mr. Jim (Karen) Fowler of Thomaston; brothers, Mr. Miles (Jeanette) Russell and Mr. Franklin (Peggy) Russell, all of Thomaston; son-in-law, Mr. Danny Jones of Thomaston; granddaughters, Mrs. Shannon (John) Spraggins of Williamson and Mrs. Marnie (Daniel) Parrish and Mrs. Hayley (Erik) Rechtorovic, all of Thomaston; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Rock Baptist Church.
