Ross

Funeral services for Mr. Robert G. Ross Sr., 82, of Griffin, were held Monday, March 26, 2007, at 1 p.m., in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Mark Sellers and Dr. Tony Nicholas officiating. Burial followed in Westwood Gardens.

Mr. Ross died Friday, March 23, 2007, at Brightmoore Nursing Home.

Haisten McCullough Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ross was born on Sept. 12, 1924, in Spalding County, Ga., to the late Jessie M. Ross and the late Ethel Mae Johnson Ross. He was a member of the American Legion and past president of the Golden K. Kiwanis Club. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in WWII. Mr. Ross was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Kubat Ross of Griffin; daughters, Barbara Greco of Ft. Myers, Fla., Linda (Howard) Coates of Griffin, and Wanda Gail (Julian) Salceiro of Thomaston; son, Gordon (Marqua) Ross of Griffin; brother, Charles (Rilla) Ross of Griffin; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1332 Zebulon Road, Griffin, GA 30224.
