A Narcotics Task Force Agent was injured Thursday, Jan. 11, when attempting to make a drug-related arrest.

NTF Agents were doing surveillance around the downtown Thomaston area, where they made two arrests at approximately 6 p.m last Thursday.

Jonathan Mark Dickerson, Sr., 45, was arrested on Michael Street for allegedly possessing crack cocaine.

Reportedly, shortly after that arrest agents visited another Michael Street residence, where they came in contact with 22-year-old Charles Martin.

Agents said during the drug investigation Martin began to run in an attempt to flee authorities. Agents gave chase, but muddy conditions caused one agent to fall and sprain his right wrist.

Martin was apprehended and allegedly possessed 13 loose pieces of crack cocaine in his jacket. He is being charged with possession of crack cocaine.
