Hudson

Funeral services for Mr. Billy L. Hudson, 69, of Kennesaw Drive, were held Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial followed in Southview Cemetery.

Mr. Hudson died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at his residence.

Mr. Hudson was a native of Houston County, but had lived in Thomaston for many years. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was also a 1972 graduate of Georgia State University and taught high school math at Yatesville High School. He was later employed by Thomaston Mills as a data processor until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Hudson was a member of Thomaston Lions Club, and was named the 2006 Lion of the Year. He was also a member of Tinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Janell Johnson Hudson of Thomaston; daughters, Sheri (Randy) Harrison and Karen (Mark) Kelly, all of Thomaston; grandsons, Reid Harrison and Grant Kelly, both of Thomaston; and a granddaughter, Beth Kelly of Thomaston.
