Graveside services for Mr. Leonard Ray Foster, 71, of Daniel Road, were held Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at 2 p.m., in Upson Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Rex King officiating.
Mr. Foster died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Foster was born on Sept. 28, 1935, in Spalding County, Ga., to the late Robert Leonard and Alma Bridges Foster. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Foster was retired from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, where he worked for many years in the maintenance department as an HVAC technician. Mr. Foster was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church of Thomaston.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Pauline “Polly” Harrell Foster of Thomaston; a son, Mr. Rob (Melissa) Foster of Thomaston; daughters, Mrs. Paula-Ra (Chuck) Williams and Mrs. April (Chad) McKissick, all of Thomaston; step-mother, Mrs. Helen Foster of Thomaston; a brother, Mr. James L. Foster of Forsyth; a sister, Mrs. Brenda Hendricks of Thomaston; and granddaughters, Mrs. Tiffany (Jason) Hammonds, Miss Chadler McKissick and Miss Kaylie McKissick.
