Funeral services for Mrs. Gerri K. Martin, 75, of Griffin, were held Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at 11 a.m., in the Warren-Haisten Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Craig Sherouse officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Spalding Regional Medical Center.

Warren-Haisten Funeral Home of Griffin was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Martin was born on Feb. 17, 1931, in Geneva, Ala. She was the daughter of the late William Benjamin Kinsaul and the late Emma G. Kinsaul. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. Mrs. Martin was raised in Thomaston and attended R. E. Lee High School. She was a homemaker, who loved to cook. She was a loving wife and mother, and enjoyed caring for her family, which included closely following her children's sports activities. Mrs. Martin was an avid reader who sometimes read as many as three books at a time. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Lous R. Boyette and Essie K. Cox; and brothers, Ernest Kinsaul and Ben Kinsaul.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Glenn Martin of Griffin; daughter, Dale Martin Carlisle of Griffin; son, Andy Martin of Griffin; brother, Cliff Kinsaul of Ardmore, Okla.; sisters, Hazel K. Meyer of Conyers and Carrie K. Hancock of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Michele and Drew Martin, both of Savannah; daughter-in-law, Chris Martin of Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
