Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Randall Mewbourn, 72, of Woodbury, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at 2 p.m, in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Mewbourn died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Emory University Healthcare.
Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mewbourn was born on Oct. 1, 1933, in Emanuel County, Ga., to the late Clyde Mewbourn Sr. and Alice Hilderbrandt. Mr. Mewbourn served in the National Guard and the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1954, which included his participation in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Clyde Mewbourn Sr., his mother, Mrs. Alice Hilderbrandt, and a son, Mr. Jade Scott Mewbourn.
Survivors include his daughters, Mrs. Catherine (Walt) Dinkins of Stockbridge and Mrs. Regina (Del) Maddox of Thomaston; a son, Mr. Bobby (Tina) Mewbourn of Roopville; brothers, Mr. Bill Mewbourn and Mr. Frank Mewbourn, both of Thomaston; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Dickey of langely, S.C. and Mrs. Durell Ellis and Mrs. Pauline Henley, both of Thomaston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
