Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lee Stevens, 77, of Edgewood Avenue, were held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Clark's Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dean Hemphill and the Rev. James Coogler officiating. Burial followed in Upson Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Stevens died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stevens was born on April 15, 1929, in Troup County, Ga., to the late Hollie and Ruby Carr Stevens. He served his country in the United States National Guard and was the co-owner and sales and service representative for S&S Appliance Company of Thomaston for many years. Mr. Stevens was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church of Thomaston.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Ousley Stevens of Thomaston; daughters, Mrs. Diane Kendrick of Butler and Mrs. Janice (Arcelus) Joiner of Reynolds; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Burks of Thomaston; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
