Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Ann Johnson McChargue, 66, of Jeff Davis Road, were held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, wth the Rev. Mike Martin and the Rev. Philip Thompson officiating. Burial followed in Crystal Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McChargue died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McChargue was born on Dec. 6, 1939, in Troup County, Ga., to the late Morris and Donnie Austin Johnson. She was retired from Thomaston Health & Rehab, where she worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse and director of social services. Mrs. McChargue was a member of Jeff Davis Baptist Church of Thomaston, and was currently attending Upper Room Ministries. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mr. Tony Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Ronald S. McChargue of Thomaston; sons, Mr. Allen McChargue, Mr. Jeffery (Maryann) McChargue and Mr. Ronald S. (Lisa) McChargue, all of Thomaston; brothers, Mr. Kenny (Vickie) Johnson of Woodbury and Mr. Phillip Johnson of Thomaston; a sister, Mrs. Dawn (Gary) Lumpkin of Thomaston; grandchildren, Toni McChargue, Keith (Mandy) McChargue, Daniel McChargue, Christopher (Jennifer) McChargue, Heather McChargue, Zack McChargue and Caleb McChargue; and one great-grandchild, Mason McChargue.
