NEW HOURS

FOR ANIMAL SHELTER

Effective this week, the Upson County Animal Shelter will be open for citizens to view animals and drop animals off at the shelter Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The shelter will hold an adoption day on the last Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. until noon.

The adoption fee is $20 for cats or dogs, regardless of breed. The fee must be paid with a money order made out to the Upson County Animal Shelter or to the Board of Commissioners.

All animals adopted will be required to be spayed or neutered; and if over 3-months of age, to be vaccinated for rabies. These prices are separate and must be paid to the veterinarian by the adoptee.
