Funeral services for Mr. Roy Walter Buchanan, 75, of 4th Avenue, will be held Saturday, April 22, 2006, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Meador officiating. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Buchanan died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Buchanan was a native of Pike County, and a resident of Upson County since 1996. He retired from the Sherwin Williams Distribution Center in Morrow. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Pike County. Mr. Buchanan was a Naval veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie C. Buchanan of Thomaston; brothers-in-law, Gene (Phyllis) Johnson of Thomaston and Thomas (Ellen) Johnson of Peterstown, W.Va.; an aunt, Mrs. Ray Rico of Valley, Ala.; and a cousin, Jimmy (Cindy) Green of Barnesville.
Visitation will be held this evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
