Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lee Powell, 49, were held Friday, April 7, 2006, at noon.

Mr. Powell died Tuesday, April 4, 2006.

Watkins Funeral Home of Atlanta was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Powell was born on May 20, 1956, in Talbot County, Ga., to the late I. J. Powell and Jennie B. Child Powell. He was united in holy matrimony to Jeannie Powell, and to this union two children were born.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jeannie Powell, daughters, Sandrill and Shorlanda Powell; a granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Jennie B. Powell of Thomaston; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Vonnie Lee Warren of Roberta, Mrs. Lula Dennis, Jeannette Gray of Thomaston, Mrs. Dorothy Carter, Irene Clark, and Catherine Graddy, all of Atlanta, Mr. Charlie W. Powell and Willie C. Powell, both of Thomaston and Mr. Walter L. Powell and Mr. Jessie James Powell, both of Atlanta; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends who will miss him dearly.
