A wreck in the early hours of Sunday morning has claimed the life of a young Thomaston man.
Justin Tyler McElroy, 20, was killed just after 3:00 a.m. when he lost control of the Ford F-150 he was driving.
According to authorities with Georgia State Patrol Post 26, McElroy, of 1152 Jeff Davis Road, lost control of the truck he was driving causing the vehicle to overturn.
"He lost control of the vehicle, and turned over three of times," the trooper said.
The crash occurred on Hendrick's Church Road during dry conditions.
Three male passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident sustained minor injuries.
State and county officials responded to the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.
