Sunday School, BTU convention begins today
The Salem Baptist Church deacons and deaconesses will celebrate their 36th anniversary
on Sunday, July 17, beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Devotional service begins at 11 a.m. The program will be held along with the regular service. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Hope Smith - Pastor.
The Sunday School and BTU Convention begins today, July 13, at 11 a.m., and will continue on Thursday, July 14, at 11 a.m., at the St. James Baptist Church, Highway 341, Roberta, where Rev. Matthew Raines is pastor. Rev. W. E. Sanders - President of the Sunday School Convention.
Congratulations to Mr. Henry Wilder for being chosen Instructor of the Year at Central Georgia Technical College for 2005. Mr. Wilder was awarded his plaque on July 6, at the College. On Tuesday, July 19, the Foundation Board of CGTC will present Mr. Wilder with a resolution for being the 2005 outstanding instructor.
Community-wide Bible study is being held at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8 p.m. Minister Maurice Raines is the teacher.
Summer Day Camp will be held this summer at the Salem Community Park on Allen Road. All children ages 5 through 12 can sign up. Please contact Ms. Linda Miller at 478/836-4414. The camp will be July 18 through 22, from noon to 3:30 p.m. All children in the Salem Community and surrounding communities are welcome to participate.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Dollie) Hollis will be celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary on Friday, July 15. Best wishes on your special day
