Summer Day Camp at Salem Community Park

The Thomas-ton-Upson County Branch of the NAACP will have its regular monthly meeting on Saturday,

July 9, at 7 p.m., at the Triune Village Community Room. Please make plans to attend. Mr. Joe White - President.

The Olive Grove Baptist Church will have its annual Men and Women Day Program on Sunday, July 10, beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Morning worship begins at 11 a.m. There will only be one sermon. Rev. R. L. Hodo - Pastor.

The Cunningham School Reunion Committee will have its regular meeting on Sunday, July 10, at 5 p.m., at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department, L. C. Wonnum Road, just off Allen Road. The reunion will be held on Sept. 17, at the Salem Community Park. We're looking forward to a great reunion.

The Pine Grove Baptist Church invites everyone to come out on Sunday, July 10, to help them celebrate Rev. and Sis. Alfred T. Green's seventh pastoral anniversary. The guest speaker for the afternoon program, beginning at 2 p.m., will be Rev. R. B. Curtis. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Alfred T. Green - Pastor.

Community-wide Bible study is being held at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday nights from 7-8 p.m. Minister Maurice Raines is the teacher.

Summer Day Camp will be held this summer at the Salem Community Park on Allen Road. All children ages 5 through 12 can sign up. Please contact Ms. Linda Miller at 478-836-4414. The camp begins July 18 through 22, from noon to 3:30 pm. All children in the Salem Community and surrounding communities are welcome to participate.

To the family and friends of Adrian Griffin... He will be going off to college on Aug. 23. Adrian will be attending Macon State College. He is the son of Mrs. Mattie Pearl Griffin and Mr. Charlie Griffin, Jr. We pray that he makes it through safe and sound.
