Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Lynn Ivey, 38, of Allen Road in the Salem Community of Upson County, will be held Saturday, June 4, 2005, at 2:30 p.m., at the Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ivey died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in Macon.

Harper-Worthy Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ivey was born in Upson County to Addie Pearl Ivey and the late Marvin Ivey. He was educated in the public schools of Upson County. Darrell was employed by Carters Mills Company of Barnesville. He served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Salem Volunteer Fire Department.

Suvivors include his daughter, Adverlyn Ivey-Waters of the Salem Community; his mother, Mrs. Addie Pearl Colbert Ivey of the Salem Community; sisters, Laverne Ivey-Herriott and Janet Ivey, both of the Salem Community; and his grandmother, Mrs. Jodie Bell Colbert of Roberta.
