Task Force In Action
A Triune Village man was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute after Narcotics Task Force agents chased him through the woods as he tried to get away.
Charlie "Fruity" Walker, 278 Triune Village was arrested Tuesday after a foot chase and struggle in the woods behind the apartment complex.
"Task Force Agents received information that Walker was possessing crack cocaine," according to a press release from the NTF. "Agents went to the area, finding 'Fruity' sitting in a chair in the front yard of the apartment. Walker waved at the agents. The agents got out of the vehicle.
"Walker ran west toward a wooded area behind the complex," according to the release. "Agents identified themselves, but Walker continued to run attempting to reach into his pants pockets.
"Walker ran into the wooded area approximately 100 yards with agents close behind. Agents caught Walker in the woods. Walker put up a struggle while agents were trying to subdue him."
Agents found eight rocks of crack cocaine and $366 in cash.
During Walker's arrest, agents found a marijuana plant growing at the edge of the tree line in a black planter. The plant was pulled and destroyed.
In a separate incident, a Thurston School Road man was charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute after Narcotics Task Force Agents searched his car on U.S. 19 North.
William Lewis Reviere, 217 Thurston School Road, was charged after agents found "a quantity of crack cocaine in the sun visor pocket" of his Ford Explorer.
