Grand Jury indicts Upson man for

having images on his home computer

Upson County grand jurors indicted 22 people Tuesday including a man charged with computer pornography and exploitation - Upson County's first such indictment.

Dennis Russell Hartley, 595 Firetower Road, was indicted on five counts of computer pornography and exploitation and authorities say his computer contained five explicit sexual images of children under age 16.

Chris Hosey, an investigator with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Tuesday would not say how authorities came to discover the images on Hartley's computer, but the indictment alleges the man "reproduced" the images between March and September of last year.

Photos found on Hartley's computer include children involved in abuse.

In a separate indictment, Gary Green, 318 East Gordon Street was indicted on charges of child molestation in connection with allegedly inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl.

Also during the day, Grand jurors handed down the following other indictments.

Joseph Brandon Curry, 717 Thurston School Road, burglary; Jamey Daniel MacLean, Kings Road, Meansville, burglary; Archie Bernard King, address unavailable, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Pamela Denise Hill, 1542 Trice Cemetery Road, cruelty to children in the 1st degree.

Antroun McDaniel, 117 Lincoln Park Circle, aggravated battery; Rafael Chambles, 717 Old Talbotton Road, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana; Tandy Cummings, 2198 Mt. Carmel Road, criminal interference with government property.

Dennis Lowell, 405 Cherry St., armed robbery; Taurean Harris, 201 Dallas Drive, armed robbery; Alex Miller, 210 Thurston Ave., armed robbery; Damien Montgomery, 564 Little Dear Trail, armed robbery; Linda Burkett Mullins, 448 N. Main St., theft by taking; Michelle Nicole Rutland, 135 Lockett St., Culloden, simple battery.

Jason Ben Salter, 265 Gasset Road, battery; Bryant Keith Smith, 1559 Raines St., possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana; Gerald Taylor Struble Jr., 2066 U.S. 19 North, entering an auto, theft by taking.

Marurce Trice, 316 Triune Ave., criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree and simple battery; James Allen, 320 Sherman St., aggravated assault; and Billy James Matthews, 206 B Street, burglary.
