Mr. Dunn died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004.

Mr. Dunn was very active in government and politics and instrumental in creating the first church league softball association in the late 70's in Pike County. He enjoyed farming, raising exotic birds/fowl and hunting. He was a well known fund raiser for charitable church causes and political causes. He was an author and business man. Mr. Dunn was a member of Tara Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was locally involved at Pike Assembly of God in Molena. He was also an active supporter of Missions at home and abroad. Mr. Dunn was a living witness for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Frankie Chandler Dunn; a daughter, Charlene Crenshaw; sisters, Bennie Mae Shipp, Hatti Pope and Eunice Chambless; and two infant brothers.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Benjamin H. and Pamela Dunn of Meansville and Michael and Teena Chandler of Molena; daughters and sons-in-law, Cecilia and Jack Little of Hampton, Carol Oliver of Meansville, Joan and Hugh Bishop of Thomaston, Rebecca Gulledge of Barnesville and Sandra Easom of Thomaston; sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Hoy Simpson of East Point; grandchildren, Ron Little, Lenelle Coker, Emalee Barrow, Keith Dunn, Hayley Dunn, Shelly Chandler, Chris Gulledge, Misti Gulledge, Joel Bishop, Kyle Oliver, Erin Olivery and Lamont Register; and a host of nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pike County Assembly of God Mission Program, 995 Highway 109 West, Molena, GA 30258 in memory of Mr. Dunn.
