Funeral services for Mr. James Buddy Barber, 96, of Barnesville, will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Greater Spring Hill Baptist Church in Milner with Pastor E.J. O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Barber died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Barnesville.

Bentley & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include eight children, Walter (Carrie) Barber of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Nellie Faye Barrett Thomas of Alposa, Texas, Earnest (Teresa) Barber of Cleveland, Ohio; Bernice (James) Sullivan, Robert (Olivia) Barber, Amos Barber, Jesse Barber and Mary Barber Brown, all of Barnesville; three generations of grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him.
