Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie L. Johnson, 74, of Barnesville, will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the East Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the O'Neal Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Athena Rehab of Clayton in Rex, Ga.

Bentley & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include nine children, Mr. Jimmie L. (Phyllis) Johnson Jr. of East Point, Mr. Kerry Johnson Sr. of Monterey, Calif., Mrs. Lenora (Herman) Robinson and Mrs. Bonita (James) Roach, all of Barnesville, Mr. Calvin Johnson of Manassas, Va., Mr. Norman Johnson of Barnesville, Ms. Myra Johnson of Morrow, Ms. Ola Johnson of Barnesville and Mr. Winston Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Mr. Willie (Bessie) Johnson of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine (Perry) Walker, Mrs. Rosa Harris and Mrs. Lessie B. O'Neal, all of Barnesville; a son- and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Angelyn Johnson and Mr. Morris Myers, both of Barnesville; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary Character of Barnesville and Mrs. Minnie G. Character of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss him.
