Rev. Hope Smith and the Women of Faith of the Salem Baptist Church wish to thank

everyone who came out to help us celebrate our first Women's Conference on last weekend. Our speakers were great: Thursday evening. Evangelist Plezie Small; Friday evening, Evangelist Wendy Smith; Saturday morning. Evangelist Connie Flint; Sunday afternoon. Evangelist Edwina Watkins. The workshops and messages were great. Thanks to Mrs. Annie Ruth Paulhill and the Conference Choir. Thanks to the musicians: Mr. David Smith on keyboard and Master Chris Worthy on drums. A special thanks to the food committee and all who brought food. Whatever contributions you made during this event, we thank each of you. We look forward to another conference next year. Sis. The fourth quarterly conference of the Salem Baptist Church will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. Please make plans to attend. Each auxiliary is asked to make their annual report. Baptismal service will be held immediately following conference on Saturday. Dea. Willie J. Raines - Chairman of the Deacon Board; Sis. Willie C. Green - Secretary; Rev. Hope Smith - Pastor.

The Salem Baptist Church will have a program on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. celebrating birthdays and anniversaries in the months of October, November and December. Our guest speaker will be Mrs. Thelma Blasingame. Dinner will be served. Rev. Hope Smith - Pastor.

Sunday, Dec. 15, is regular pastoral day and pastor's appreciation at the Salem Baptist Church beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by devotional service at 11 a.m. The message will be brought by Rev. Mark Twyman, Pastor of the Harvest Christ Ministries of East Point, Georgia. So lets come out and worship the Lord with the Salem Baptist Church family. Lets help Pastor Smith and First Lady Smith have a Merry Christmas. Dea. Willie J. Raines - Chairman of the Deacon Board.

The Sunday School Department of the Salem Baptist Church will have its annual Christmas Program on Tuesday, Dec. 17, beginning at 7 p.m. The program will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. If you would like to be on program, please contact Ms. Linda Miller or Mrs. Angela Raines.

Please come help make the season bright with a night that will be filled with fan and laughter. In an effort to raise funds for the 2003 upcoming celebration, the Emancipation Committee will be having a Christmas Ball on Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at the American Legion. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For ticket information, please contact Mrs. Shirlene Jordan at 706/647-5779 or any member of the Emancipation Committee.
