BOC Chair, Probate Judge sworn in

Rusty Blackston was sworn in as the new Upson County Board of Commission Chairman on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Upson County Courthouse. Blackston, a former District Three County Commissioner, stated he is looking forward to serving the people of the community and improving the quality of life for all citizens in the area. He is shown being sworn in by Superior Court Judge Mac Crawford, with his wife Marlane Blackston, by his side. Danielle McRae was sworn in as Probate Judge of Upson County on December 26, 2012 at the Upson County Courthouse by Superior Court Judge Mac Crawford. McRae was elected to the position this summer, but has served as Associate Probate Judge since the retirement of Probate Judge Gary Hamby in 2011. After her own swearing in, Probate Judge Danielle McRae took the opportunity to swear in the clerks who serve in her office. McRae is pictured (second from left) with Carrie Walrath (Chief Clerk), June Smith (Clerk) and Beverly Nordan (Clerk).
