A tragic week in review

Two weeks ago the Boston Marathon was interrupted by a terrorist attack. Two brothers born in Kyrgyzstan who migrated to the US from Chechen a decade ago decided to kill innocent civilians in a cowardly act. It is befuddling that young Muslim Jihadists can be so easily persuaded to kill without remorse for a perversion of Islam.

Islamic extremists Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are terrorists and for that reason alone they should have been classified as enemy combatants. However, Democrats immediately starting advocating for Miranda Rights which is troubling for the majority of us. Even so on Monday a week after the terrorist bombing, President Obama decided to read a terrorist linked to radical Islamists his Miranda Rights. Now he can lawyer up and make a mockery out of our judicial system. Why do Americans vote for progressive liberal Democrats who refuse to admit that radical Islamic Jihadists are the enemy of all non-Muslims? America and our allies are at “war” with radical fundamentalists of Islam.

The Wednesday following Monday’s bombing, the Senate failed to pass a bill that required simple background checks for private and internet gun purchases. And although it is true Republicans and the NRA should be ashamed of their outrageous “gun rights” propaganda; Democrats should also be ashamed of pandering to the UN on gun laws-for there is no UN without the US. American’s constitutional rights cannot and will never be superseded by the UN and its international jackasses who suckle on the bosom of the American taxpayers.

Notwithstanding, everyone loses when Congress fails to pass common sense legislation. It is not unreasonable to require background checks to stop criminals from purchasing firearms, to restrict gun ownership for the mentally challenged, to reduce magazine sizes and types of ammunition, and to ban assault weapons that are used by SWAT and our military. Yes we have a constitutional right to bear arms under the second amendment, but we are two-hundred years beyond single shot muskets used for protection and hunting.

Later that night an explosion rocked West Texas as a fertilizer plant was engulfed in flames. As if Waco hasn’t bore its share of tragedy, another horrific event befell this community. Numerous dead and missing as countless more are reported injured in this local farm community disaster 20 miles north of Waco.

Every week there seems to be more communities in need of our prayers. Sometimes one can’t help wonder if God is trying to get our attention. We live in a dangerous world where brother kills brother without hesitation. Violence begets violence, but followers of Jesus understand that tragedy visits the righteous and the unrighteous.

As we wait for the light bulb to go off in the media’s chosen genius of Harvard; the majority of us sit in amazement of his inability to recognize what we already see-Islamic radicals are the evildoers. Russia warned the US Government about Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s extremist ties and they blow it off because President Obama has handcuffed most of America’s local law enforcement agencies from doing their job. In fact, President Obama and AG Eric Holder are single handedly crippling our defense against domestic terrorism in the name of political correctness. In an effort for tolerance of all religions; President Obama and many liberals will not publicly admonish the only religion responsible for today’s worldwide terrorism (Islam).

Nonetheless, assessing every situation requires unbiased analysis and to be fair President Obama has gone after terrorists abroad. He also offered a plan to cut spending and increase revenues. And even though it didn’t go far enough; it was a starting point for negotiations. Moreover, President Obama has been reasonable with his push for some limitations on acquiring and owning firearms.

America we had a tough week, but our faith will strengthen our inner resolve. Unfortunately for us most Republicans are bogged down in the “quicksand of ignorance”. And Democrats are dismantling America with reckless spending, judicial chaos, and misinformation. Even so, I refuse to allow my frustration to lead me to a dark place.

If the “Thought Police” think for one second that they are going to get a pass on Benghazi and why the FBI refused to follow up on Tamerlan Tsarnaev; they are smoking some potent weed. As dumb and disingenuous as Republicans and Democrats appear to be; their “day of reckoning” is approaching-for ignorance is not bliss. And maybe I can’t fix stupid, but I can damn sure challenge both Republicans and Democrats preposterous BS.

I’m listening Thomaston, what do you think?

Now that’s news I can really use
