Celebrate America at The Rock Ranch June 30

The Rock Ranch, LLC is preparing for what will be one of the largest fireworks shows in the state. The Rock Ranch is the personal ranch of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy and provides wholesome family entertainment in an agricultural setting. Dedicated to “Growing Healthy Families,” The Rock Ranch hosts school field trips, camping excursions, company picnics and themed Fall Family Fun Days. Celebrate America is the largest of its special events. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 and the entry fee is only $25 per family vehicle (pile 8 in a Suburban and that is only $3 per person). The admission price includes access to all standard attractions and entertainment. The entry fee for buses is $35.

Celebrate America features a patriotic program and a world class fireworks display that will rival any professional pyrotechnics show in the state. There will be a concert by recording artist Noah Cleveland and the patriotic program just before the fireworks will feature an appearance from a fighter pilot who was shot down and held captive as a P.O.W. in the Vietnam War era. Families will have an opportunity to celebrate our freedom as Americans and those who have served and are serving to preserve it.

Attractions include: a rock climbing wall, locomotive train rides, cow train rides, pony rides, slide hill, a petting zoo, paddle boats, inflatable bounce houses, pedal carts, “Tiny Town” children’s playhouse area, the corn box, the watermelon cannon, paintball shooting, the giant jumping pillow, an antique tractor display, cane pole fishing, archery, music and dancers, a wide variety of concessions, a gift shop and much more. Guests will also enjoy the “Cow-A-Bunga” ziplines, two 1300 foot and 2800 foot zip lines that transport guests from a 60 foot tall tower down a cable at over 30 miles per hour. These zip line rides are only $12 and $7.

The Great American Duck Derby at The Rock Ranch, hosted By Stepping Stones, is another exciting opportunity for families. All guests are encouraged to adopt multiple ducks at $5 each for their chance at the $1,000 1st prize. Guests will have a chance to win other great prizes that include a Big Green Egg, flat screen TV, and free Chick-fil-A meals for a year. Plus if the duck you adopt is one of three special ducks, you could win the $1 million grand prize. All proceeds from the duck derby benefit Stepping Stones Educational Therapy Center, an organization that helps children with special needs. Participants do not have to be present to win and ducks may be pre-adopted by visiting www.therockranch.com and clicking the “Adopt A Duck” link on the home page.

Jeff Manley, general manager of The Rock Ranch said, “We invite you and your family to come celebrate our freedoms as Americans and the heroes who fought and are still fighting to preserve those freedoms - to ‘Celebrate America’.” Event coordinator Adam Pugh added, “this event is a great value. Families will enjoy The Rock Ranch attractions a great show and have a chance to win prizes while helping a great charity.”

Guests will also enjoy shopping at The Rock Ranch produce stand. Guests may pick or purchase freshly picked blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, sweet corn, hormone free steroid free home grown beef and other produce.

The Rock Ranch will also be open for families for Fun in the Summer Time Tuesday through Saturday July 10 - 28.

No outside food or drink and no pets allowed, please. For additional information, contact The Rock Ranch at info@therockranch.com or visit www.therockranch.com.
