Westwood Academy is pleased to announce its expansion through 12th grade for the 2013-14 school year. Westwood earned its high school accreditation from the Georgia Accrediting Commission and qualifies as a HOPE Eligible High School. A student who graduates from a HOPE-eligible high school may qualify for the HOPE Scholarship as an entering freshman in a degree program at an eligible college or university in Georgia.
Traditional on-campus classes are taught by state-certified teachers using the Bob Jones University Press curriculum. This rigorous curriculum is aligned with the Common Core Standards and offers a Christian worldview. On-line classes are also offered through Christian Classroom Online with Bob Jones University.
Additionally, Westwood is grateful to partner with Southern Crescent Technical College to offer dual enrollment for 11th and 12th graders. College courses available are English, math, biology, chemistry, economics, humanities, psychology and speech. Students receive high school and college credit for these courses.
Enrollment is now open for grades preschool 3 through 12th grade until classes are full with a 20 percent discount for new families. Early registration ends May 15. For more information, call the school office at 706-647-8131 or visit www.westwoodchristianacademy.com. Campus tours are available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
