The Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce, Three Rivers Regional and the Department of Transportation will hold their final TSPLOST forum to educate the public on the Upcoming Transportation Investment Act (TIA) Referendum on Tuesday, June 19 from 7:30 am – 9:00 am at the Georgia Department of Transportation District 3 Office Rooms A & B. Donuts, juice and coffee will be served.
Those planning to attend the Public Forums are asked to please park and enter at the rear of the District 3 Office. Rooms A & B are located at the back of the Georgia Department of Transportation District 3 building. The 10-year, 1 cent Transportation Special Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) will come up for a vote in the 10-county Three Rivers Regional Commission District on July 31. If approved, among other road projects the tax will pay will be the widening of Highway 36 to four lanes from I-75 to Thomaston.
