As a finale to Georgia Cities Week and Make Thomaston Shine, the official clean-up day for residents is this Saturday, April 27, 2013.
This is a city-wide cleanup supported by neighborhood groups, civic clubs, schools, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, and churches in the area. Every citizen can participate by stepping outside their home or apartment, taking a trash bag, and picking up trash and debris in their neighborhood.
Veolia will have a dumpster at the Thomaston Police Department for people to bring their trash, and will have trucks stationed at spots around the city where residents can bring their trash. Call City Hall at 706-647-4242 to find a location near you.
